Surprises in bloom...

The lady that owned our place prior to us had a TON of landscaping and flower beds..... those of you that know me well.....well you know that #1 my thumb is maroon..not green... and #2 I barely have time to eat or go the the bathroom much less mess with the yard right now!

Needless to say much of it has overgrown and looks horrible.  I figure this fall and next spring when the girls are a bit less "needy" (dreaming?) we will have a lot of work to do.  I long for the day they can help!  Haha!

The nice suprise...is that even with NO care and NO love every now and then I run in to a beautiful bloom!  It's a great surprise and brings a smile to my face and lift to my spirit!

Below are just a few examples that I have captured via my camera phone during wagon strolls!

May Moments...

I have been bad at blogging lately....so below are just a few random "May Moments" that I have on film from the girls this month to date.

A very stressful moment watching the "Wonder Pets" rescue Baby Skunk...

Oh...these metal bowls make so much noise ...yeah!!

Ashlee thinks..."If I stand on top of Brooke while she sits in the toy crate...I can reach these extra puzzles.."
(That girl loves puzzles!)

Mommy is traying to transition the girls from the exersaucers (oh..the lovely traps that they are) to the floor.  We are working on "boundries" for watching TV using Gigi's colorful quilts.... Not sure it's working..

Mommy got us this new picnic table for the Nursery at Daddy's Office!  WE LOVE IT!  Fun to reach and climb on.  Of course we have a few bruises and knots already from falling off...but we are learning!   We can't wait until we can eat lunch and color on it!!

Mommy got tired of us pushing the dining room chairs all over the house...so she got us these wagons!!  They are great fun!! We push them all over the place like crazy...sometimes it looks like a NASCAR track at my house!

Happy Everything....

May 5th -- Mommy's Birthday
May 7th - Mommy and Daddy's Anniversary
May 8th - Mother's Day

It was definetly a HAPPY EVERYTHING weekend!!

The girls LOVED the Chocolate Cake!

"We Wagon for Wee Ones..."..MOD 2011

Each year I dedicate a my spring to helping babies.   I put my energy and passion into helping babies come into this world healthy and trying to ensure that they each have a fair start and lots of birthdays...buy supporting March of Dimes.  I was very blessed to carry my twins full-term (for twins - 37.5 weeks) and that they were each born close to 6 lbs each and HEALTHY!!   They did not have to spend anytime in the NICU and I really believe that my knowledge of premature births and how to work on preventing it helped...along with of course the power and gift of God.

This year I served another year on the Bank of America Steering Committee for March of Dimes.  I took a leap of faith and took on the role of Co-Chair this year.  We had goal of $250,000 for Dallas and as of yesterday we were at $295,000!!  I am SO excited about the success of the campaign this year and the money that we have raised as a Corporate Family to help other's build families!

See below...a great picture from the actual March for Babies this year...as we "wagon'd for wee ones!"

Pink Baby...

My niece Morgan grew up with a "pink baby" that she LOVED to shreds!  When I was prego with the girls Morgan insisted that the girls had to have Pink Babies when they were born.  Sure enough...Jan 17th Morgan greeted her cousins at the hospital with 2 precious and personalized pink babies!

Ashlee is not really attached to her's...she is more into blankets covering her head.  However....Brooke LOVES her Pink Baby!!!  I typically only let her have it at bed time...as Pink Baby resides in her crib.  However, sometimes we let Pink Baby venture with us for special overnight stays and doctor appointments..

The below picture is old..but a tribue to Brooke and her Pink Baby...
