Christmas in Smiley

We had an early Christmas in Smiley with Poppy Cows, Granny, Gigi, Uncle Glen, Jack and Toby.  It was a good visit.  The girls enjoyed playing with their cousins Jack and Toby....who had not been together since the day they were born!!  Of course Gigi loved spending time with her great grandkids and Poppy Cows and Granny could not get enough loving.  I took a lot of pictures...but here are few of my favorite from the holiday trip.

Poppy Cows got a giant "thank you note" from the kids at Mom's school for making their set for the school play.  Ashlee and Brooke thought the poster board was the best thing ever!  Of course Poppy was giving them "rides" on it!

Dolls from Meme & Pap

Meme and Pap bought the girls the cutest dolls...and they are about as big as they are!  They loved them so I captured a few pictures with my phone.  Not the best quality...but wanted to get pictures of their first expressions with them to share with Meme and Pap.  Enjoy!

Tis' the Season for Christmas Books and Jammies!

The girls love books!  Here are some pics of them enjoying some Christmas Stories at Granny and Poppy Cow's house.  There are also a few cute ones in their Snowman Jammies!

Now that the girls are mobile...we are discovering all sorts of things.  Windows and wine corks seem to be a hit lately. I am not really sure if Jake likes sharing the window space....

Southwesthern Parts Christmas Dinner...

Shane takes his employees out to dinner for Christmas.  This year we went to Fogo de Chao...YUMMY!  Of course Meme and Pap (our Nanny BC and husband Grady) are included b/c Grady works for Shane!  It was a lot of fun and the girls did really good for their first Holiday Party!

Meeting Santa for the 1st time....

The girls have yet to figure out that Santa is actually a very good man to get to know!  We enjoyed our "Brunch with Santa" at Las Colinas Country Club with Nana, Poppy and Quillen crew....but the Santa experience was not enjoyed too much!  Maybe next year....

Having a ball in the fall leaves....

Our new place has an abundance of trees....which equates to an abundance of leaves!!  I raked a few up in a pile to let the girls enjoy the feel, sounds, and occasional taste!  Haha!

"Patty Cake Patty Cake Christmas Tree.."

I put our Christmas Tree up a few weeks ago...with anticipation that I would be saying "no touch" and "easy" a LOT!   To my dismay..the girls left the tree alone.  In fact....I think they sort of feared it. 

Well...the fear has warn off and this morning they really finally discovered it had fun ornaments (non-breakable on the bottom of course) hanging from the branches!  They had to clap and "patty cake" for the tree this morning.

Return to Smiley...for more family fun!

We had a girls trip to Smiley earlier this month (thank you Aunt Becky for joining us and helping)!!  We wanted to go get some more lovin' from Granny, Poppy Cows and of course Gigi! 

It was a good trip...quick..but nice.   The girls warmed up a little faster to everyone this time and there were a lot of laughs!
