Happy (or not so happy) 4 months!

The girls are 4 months old today...and I just CANNOT believe it!  Time has flown.  They are doing great and such happy babies...most of the time.  We are blessed that they are such great sleepers and wonderful angels.  Of course...
4 months = 4 month checkup = shots!!
Needless to say they are not happy campers today since they are not feeling very well from the shots...but I know tomorrow morning is a new day and they will wake up with those big smiles we adore!

4 month stats:
Ashlee -- 24 1/2"  and 13 lb 10 oz
Brooke -- 24 1/4"  and 12 lb 1 oz

Waiting patiently for our shots...

Sleeping after one tough day....

Wordless Wednesday..(my 1st..maybe last..but enough said!)

It's time to "exersaucer!"

The girls are getting bigger and stronger every day and they are almost ready to explore the next level of entertainers (ie. exersaucers, jumpers, etc).    I put them in the exersaucers for a little while to test them out.  Ashlee did great...just sort of a pain to have to take her shoes on and off to put her in.  Brooke...loved it..but needed a blanket wrapped around her for support to keep her body up.  There legs are too short to touch the platform..but I rigged them with a pillow!  Can't wait another month ..as I am sure by then they will be experts at "exersaucering!"

Hangin' out at the new pad...

We have been doing some remodeling work at the new place in Argyle and Shane has been spending many afternoon and evenings out there.  Last Sunday the weather was SO nice the girls decided to go see what all has been happening and enjoy the day outside.

Ashlee and Brooke had a "picnic" by the pond and then a nice relaxing afternoon.

Ashlee LOVES watching the trees in the breeze!
Tummy time in the fresh air!  Look at us push up!!!
Brooke reminds me of Poppy Cows...can take a nap anywhere..especially on a blanket in the fresh air!

The end of a perfect day!!  Girls had fun and mommy relaxed!  Everyone got fresh air!  Can't wait to move!!

What have we been up to???

It's been way too long since I have posted a blog....just not enough hours in the day!  We've been so crazy...but a good crazy..so hate to complain! The girls are growing so fast and do something new all the time.  Below are some photos to hopefully help capture some of the latest happenings and catch us up to date.  I'll try to do better at posting...but no promises!

We have learned to grab on to all sorts of things....toys, bottles, clothes, etc.

(Look at what I can do...make it rattle!)

We can almost roll over and are working on sitting and standing....but still have a ways to go!  We can scoot around in circle and backwards pretty well!

(where did Ashlee go?)
We are enjoying Tummy Time more and more ...we are almost good at holding ourselves up....still working on it...

(who are these cute girls?)

We have started to recognize that there is another person...we have a "sister."  We interact sometimes and even grab each other's hand...often putting in our mouth.

Happy Birthday to Mommy...and MUCH more!

Happy Birthday Mommy!!

I can't believe today is my birthday....to be honest I totally almost forgot about it and definiately could not remember how old I was turning without calculating the years!  Man...is this what happens when you have children??

Today...Cinco De Mayo..is my birthday....Friday is our 5th wedding anniversary....and Sunday is my 1st Mother's Day!  What an exciting week full of celebrations!!  Life has been so busy lately returning to work, caring for the girls, selling a house, and remodeling another....that I almost forgot how truly BLESSED I am!  Thank you God for 33 great years and everyone that you have brought into my life.  Here's to another wonderful one to come!
