Sushi = Smiles

Last Monday was Columbus Day..which is a bank holiday for Mommy!!  I decided after being at home all day with the girls, that we would meet Daddy, Nana and Poppy for dinner after work.  Monday's are Nana and Poppy's Blue Fish Nights with their friend Mary Jo.  (Blue Fish is a great lil' sushi place..for those not familiar with it.)  We crashed their party and the girls were a riot!!  They were such big girls in there high-chairs sitting at the table and just really in rare form!  They were hilarious.  They were even laughing when went to unload them from their carseats upon arriving home!

I guess sushi night was a hit for the whole family!!

Brooke being goofy with her paci!

Ashlee..teething but smiling!

Here the are in their "loading/unloading zone" STILL happy girls!

Big Girl Brooke....anything on the coffee table is fair game.

Well...Shane and Meme (our Nanny) had told me that Brooke had pulled up on her own the other day to a toy in the nursery..but I had yet to witness it.  However, this morning all items on the coffee table became fair game!  As they were playing happily on the floor and I drinking my coffee and reading a magazine, in NO time..Brooke had called over to the coffee table and just pulled herself up!  It was like "pop...here I am Mommy and your coffee cup looks fun!"

I caught a few pics on my phone..as I had to be quick on the snap!  They aren't the best quality..but doesn't she look OH SO proud!!

No shoe time!! Bring it!

Ashlee received a good report from her foot doctor the other day...so we have been allowing a little more "no shoe" time.  She LOVES it and it allows her the chance to try to catch up with Sissy on crawling and going from sitting to laying and back to sitting positon.  She doesn't have it down quite yet..but she does think about it!!  I will give her this...that little girl is a trooper!  She has a high tolerance for pain and is just about the happiest most laid back baby I have ever seen!  Regardless of when she starts to crawl and sit on her own.....she loves her extra "no shoe" time!  Believe me....as fast as Brooke is moving now days..I am really in no hurry to have Ashlee catch up with her.   Double trouble!

Thinking really hard....or else making #2!  : )

Hmm...not sure if this is the right thing to do..but I'll take a break and
catch a glimpse of TV and chew on this rattle while I figure it out.

I don't care...I am just HAPPY to have my shoes off!!
(How am I ever going to get mad at that face!!)

Mesh Food Holder + Frozen Banana = Heaven on the Gums!

They girls had their first "frozen" banana experience today.  They were not too sure at first...but after a few tries and the banana started to soften...they sucked the mesh dry!!  Poor babies..their gums were hurting so bad today..yet they were good lil' girls all day.  I thought this was a good treat after dinner..since they were already a mess!

Having a Happy Saturday!

After 12 good hours of sleep last night we had a great Saturday today!  Hung out around the house and acted goofy...then took advantage of the weather and went to watch Cousin Morgan play soccer.  They girls were really in rare form today...

She is EVERYWHERE!

This is Brooke's new "paci" fashion statement.  It must feel good on her gums?

Ashlee was actually IN the bouncy chair when I left to put clothes in the dryer!  She is such a goof!!

Making time for Patty Cake!

I thought these summed up the day...happy and silly!

Shopping girl!

Usually on the weekends if I have to run errands or go shopping I make sure I am prepared with lists and try to do a lot of one-stop shopping for effeciency purposes.  That means...my outings using consiste of a  regular trip to Super Wal-Mart for diapers, formula, beer, and groceries!  I mean they really do have everything and thankfully the one I frequent is nice and clean with normal people...  : )

My shopping/errands on the weekend also usually involve me flipping coin to see which twincess is going to venture out with me ...as I find it easier to convince Daddy to watch one vs both.

Brooke one the coin toss the other weekend and she got to sit in the cart for the first time like a big girl!!  (Since then they have both been in carts as Cabelas.)   I have yet to brave the "double / side-by-side" cart with them...

Thought I share a snap shot...we were finished..and she was tired and ready to kick back in her car seat..but she did outstanding.  And YES...before you put-together-Mommy's comment....she is grasping the cart...with her hands...and there is no protective covering in the cart.  I did wipe it down with wipe..but I am just not a big germ freak..right or wrong.  I feel the more they are exposed to the better...  (fingers and toes crossed so far the last 9 months we have been pretty healthy!)

"Great green globs of ......avacado!"

We are working on "self feeding" and trying new foods...  Neither is really into it quiet yet...they would rather treat the food item like finger paint and smear it all over the place.

Ashlee appears to be more interested...sometimes successful at picking up the item and hitting her mouth.

Brooke really has yet to have any incentive to self feed.  She'd rather be down crawling!

It's amazing how they different they can be and how they excel at different tasks at different times.  I just love that their personalities are so unique.
