One day..they are going to be whoppers Daddy!

Daddy feeds the fish in our pond, just about every night.  Most of the time our 4-legged children get to go with him.....a chore that they just love to help with.  When the weather is nice then all the girls like to tote along for the task.  Daddy can't wait until the twincesses are old enough to fish...by then they should be pretty fat (the fish that is!)   Of course..Mommy prays that the girls will even like to fish!  Right now everyone seems to enjoy it.

Jake...patiently waiting.

Gus....oh so wanting to go in the water (we actually sometimes let him go in at the end).

Watching the fish eat...they look pretty excited huh?

Showing off....

Showing off our cute lil' dresses that Nana bought us the other day......and just being GOOFY!

Looks like Brooke is tickling Ashlee..such a nut!

Here they look like they just might "duke" it out!

Brooke is really wanting to stand up...

The wall is still just SO fascinating to us!

Not quiet sure what Ash is doing...she can't crawl or sit yet on her own..so I think she was trying to figure it out.  She was concentrating so hard...and just a twisting!

This is for Poppy Cows, Gigi, and Granny so that they can see Brooke in action..she's actually much faster now..and it's only been a few days!

Gig'em Aggies! Class of 2032 ??

Ags are playing OSU tonight...and Mommy decided to let us wear our cute lil' A&M outfits today for support and good luck!  (Daddy was not too happy with them....but he hasn't bought them any Texas Tech outfits yet...and you know I won't buy them!).

Gig'em!

..and we thought Gus was our water dog...

Now that we have a pond...Jake..who used to be terrified of water..has learned to deal with it...and to be honest I think he really enjoys it!  We were throwing the ball today in the yard....one of our evening rituals that occupies the dogs and the girls.  Mommy let the dogs cool off in the pond..so Daddy decided he would throw the ball for them in the water some.  Gus had a TON of fun...as usual.  Drank so much water with his multiple retrieves..ended up losing his dinner!  (Another typical move!)  So we made Gus rest and let Jake have some nice friendly tosses....enjoy the pics and videos!! (Remember..this dog hates when his beard is wet!)
p

Playing together...but lil' brother (Gus) seems to always win out..

Attentive and both waiting on Dadd to throw it AGAIN!

Oh my gosh..I am so excited!!  Throw it already!!!

Patiently waiting again.....

=I hate when my beard is wet.....notice the leaves from rubbing it on the ground
(Leaves on the ground..is that a sign of fall? Where are the cooler temps?)

Here are a video for you to laugh and enjoy!  You can hear Gus panting in the background and Jake's paws as he high-steps.  Poor lil' guy..not the best swimmer..but don't tell him that!

Tubs of fun!

I have found that the girls love all the things that are NOT their toys (tupperware, spoons, the wall, and now the tub we put the toys in!)

Note:  Brooke is playing with child warning sticker....ironic.

Hmmm..what is in here!?  More toys?

Mom..I am not doing anything...promise.

Nap Crasher...

I put the girls in the beds when I am home for them to nap.  I heard some racket the other day up there and it was Brooke...awake and sitting up playing.  She fights her sleep til the end...but at least she was happy about it this time.  I checked on her a few times within the hour.  I finally found her crashed in the second picture..she must have fallen asleep sitting up!  I knew she was tired.

(I know there are no sheets on the bed...Mommy was washing them...seems there is never enough time!)

Our lil' wallflower....

For some reason...Brooke has been fixated on the wall.  I am not sure if it's texture...or if she is trying to work on pulling herself up.  Either way..it's kind of entertaining and a bit funny to watch.

Giving the wall kisses....(notice I do have the safety plug covers)!

Hmmm...doesn't really taste good...

I can almost reach the window ledge...hmm..could I use it to pull myself up soon?

Busted!!  But Mom..it was fun!

If your happy and you know it...(better snap a picture)

I had to post these...the girls were in the best moods this morning......
\

"..and the twins ran away with the spoons.."

I think my mommy used to threaten me with a wooden spoon???

Of course this play was highly supervised so that we would not lose an eye or hit a sibling!

Meet Scout...our neighborhood "scout"

Our neighbors...don't believe in leashes or fences for even that matter.  There are always dogs in our yard and especially in the pond.  They are all nice...but it sort of is annoying..and of course leads to major flea issues.  It drives Gus and Jake more crazy then us I think..as we do keep them behind fence.

There is one exception to the "annoying loose dog" issue....Scout!  Our neighbors right next to us have an older beagle named Scout...he is adorable and quite the funny character!!  He makes his rounds about every evening btw 3p-7p.  It's like he has to "scout" out the place and the neighborhood.  He comes up to you.....but doesn't want to be petted or loved on.  He's not scared..but just doesn't want attnetion.  It's like he is just wants to come up..check you out..and then move on.

Meet Scout!  Our dogs have obviously befriended him.

Going bananas!!!

We have experienced all sort of fun baby food items lately ...pretty much gone through all the variety that the 2nd stage has to offer.  The girls do well with everything...but I don't give them bananas...as it seems to make it worse on poor Ashlee's digestion issues (or lack of processing if you will!)

However I decide the other day to give them a bite of banana (mushed up of course) to see if they could feed themselves.  It was interesting...as they weren't really that sure on the taste or the texture.   After many tries...they did at least hit their mouths...eventually!   Ready for the next fun adventure of self-feeding...I think?

We have our arc now...bring on the rain!

I found this blow up boat that we were going to use for a swim party...and I forgot we had.  I blew it up while the girls were watching Wonder Pets last night and went to see if they would both fit in it.  I was going to get them a kiddie pool now that they can sit...but can't find one since summer is over...eventhough it still feels like summer to me!!    So we improvised and made the boat our mini-pool!  :)  They girls had fun...until Ashlee spit up peas in the water and Mommy make them get out!!  Regardless...we have our arc ready for the next flood that comes!    :)   :)

Patty Cake....Patty Cake....

Ashlee has learned to do patty cake!   I have tried to attach a video..but not sure if it works..as I am not so good at this high-tech blog entry stuff!  SO.. I am also attaching pictures...she is too funny!!  Very proud of herself.  (If you can watch the video you will also hear her spitting...!)

Tupperware Party...

The girls have decided that tupperware....or in my case the disposable ziploc brand...are the best toys ever!!  They like to beat on the, chew on the, slide/roll them on the floor, and shake them (when I put toys inside).  Talk about great inexpensive toys!

Summer...coming to an end?

Last Friday evening we got home from work and there was a nice breeze and the weather was in the 70's!   We decided to take full advantage...although this is really a typical evening ritual at our house...especially the ball throwing!  However, I took some pictures and wanted to post so Granny and Poppy Cows could see the girls in action enjoying their swings....without having to break into a sweat!
