Argyle Bound!

Shane and I are SO excited!   A few weeks ago we closed on the great house and lot we found in Argyle. You can check out the prior blog, "Sweet Home Argyle, Texas".  We LOVE the new place and can't wait to move out and call it home.  There is a ton of room for the girls to run and play, and it's just SO relaxing..even if it's more work to keep up.

We quickly had to come to some "quick touch ups" on our Coppell house to get it market ready. We needed to sell it fast..as 2 mortgages was not going to be fun to carry.  We put it on the market last Monday night at about 8pm.  By the end of day Tuesday we had 4 showings and contract!!  All in ONE day!!  Wednesday there were 4 more showings and 2 backup contracts!  We could not believe it!  I was SO happy for several reasons.

#1 - we were getting what we wanted and asked for it!
#2-  it happened SO fast..which means less time to float 2 payments!
#3 -  I only had to keep the house "showable" clean for 2 days (which is a big tasks with 2 babies, 2 dogs and a hubby!).

The couple that is buying it has until May 1st to back out...but it's look very promising!  Check out our current home...that although it was my first house...I am not that sad to leave behind the concrete and alley..knowing I have 5 acres to head to!.  723 Clayton Circle  Everyone keep their fingers and toes crossed that the sale finalizes!!

Marching for Babies!!

It's been a raining weekend..but we did not let it rain on our parade!!  The girls and I loaded up Saturday morning and headed to White Rock Lake for the annual March for Babies!  Ever year I do all I can to support the March of Dimes as it is a great organization.  The weather looked "iffy" and the girls and I prayed for no heavy rain so that they could participate in their 1st March for Babies!  I had umbrellas, ponchos, trash bags, etc all packed and ready just in case..we were going to look "red neck"...but we were going to make by golllie!  He must have listened...as the rain held out just long enough for us to participate in the walk and stay dry!

Ashlee and Brooke enjoyed their first March for Babies and got to meet a lot of my Bank of America and March of Dimes friends.   I want to thank my co-workers for ALL the help they provided so that I could bring the girls out and participate.  There was feeding, holding, rocking to sleep, strolling, and even changing diapers (I missed that picture!).  The girls did great and were tuckered out after the event!  What a great team I work with...another blessing!

I have raised almost $500 so far...which I am proud of considering I was on Maternity Leave during this year's campaign.  We will be collecting funds through May 7th, so if you want to donate or know someone that would like to donate to this cause, please have them go to my personal MOD webpage!  Thanks for your support!!  http://www.marchforbabies.org/laura_moore

Good Bye Pink Cast..Hello Magic Shoes!!

"Mama says they was magic shoes.
They could take me anywhere." - Forest Gump

Well..not sure how "magic" they are..but Ashlee is thrilled to be able to kick her legs!! We went last Wednesday to get the beautiful hot pink casts cut off and then to get our new peep-toe pumps!!!

She did not like them at first...actually..she did not like her feet touched. They were so senstive that she jumped when you touched them. Putting on socks you would have thought I was killing her. Poor girl had never had socks on before! She was much better by day 2 and doing great now. They only thing we worry about now is trying to keep them on (they keep slipping off her tiny feet) and trying to ensure that she doesn't injure Sissy or Mom and Dad with the bar! I foresee accidents coming!

Waiting for doctor to some up these casts off...not to thrilled!

Once they were off she was one very happy girl!!  Kick kick kick!!

Her new "magic shoes!"

The next morning on the way to Day Care (obviously they are not bothering her!)

So that Brooke can be included in the blog... and not left out....
the only "crutch" that she has to have is her Red Dog Paci!

Girls meet Mrs. BC ...Mrs. BC meet the Twincesses!

12 weeks has flown by and Monday 4/12  it was time for me to return to work.  I must admit I am SO ready to get back to work.  Love the girls and am thankful for the 12 weeks I have had to spend with them...but ready for some routine, adult time and rest!!  Haha!

Shane and I are once again blessed!  We were lucky enough to build out a nursery at Shane's office and one of his employee's wife wanted to be Nanny for the girls while they were infants.  It is a blessing for us and saving us $!  I felt great going back to work knowing Shane and his parents were right there if needed!

BC loves the girls and I think she is spoiling them more than the grandma's!

Bumbos, Blankies and Bottles!

We are growing and doing new things every day!!  Brooke had her first seat in her Bumbo chair!  She was not sure what to think of it...and I know it's a little early as she can't hold her head up well when she is tired...but soon I am sure they will be busy bee's in them!  Ashlee can't get in her's yet b/c of the casts.

They have started to really grab on to things (and not let go!)  Ashlee is our cuddler..she loves to hug her blankies and whatever she can get her hands on!  Below is one of her "taggies" that a dear friend made. As you can see..she loves it!

They have been practicing holding their bottles.  Of course too early for them to have it down..but we are working on it!

It's crazy how much they change each day.  I head back to work Monday...and while I am exhausted and SO ready to get back to some sort of adult/normal life and on a routine...I know I will miss all these cute moments..but will be happy to have some sanity back!  I'll just have to cuddle and love them that much more in the evenings and weekends!!

Our first "fine dining" experience with Nana & Poppy..

Last Friday, 4/2, we took the girls to their first "fine dining" establishment.   Nana and Poppy go to Bugatti's just about every Friday and their regular waiter, Glen, has adopted the girls .. although he has yet to meet them.  We were going to surprise "Uncle Glen" by taking the girls there for dinner.  Of course...the ONE week we could make it..Glen was not working!  Oh well..we enjoyed our dinner regardless and took some pictures to show Glen.  We'll have to do it another time..as the Seafood Pizza there is to DIE for!!   If you are local to Dallas area...try it out!

Attack of the killer bows!

We went to see "Aunt Shannon" the other day and she gave us Briley's old bows.  She thought the girls needed them since they did not have much hair...and because Shannon is a HUGE bow person...and I mean HUGE!

We sported them briefly today before they were torn off!  Not sure the girls are going to be "into" bows...Brooke looks like she could care less.  But THANK YOU AUNT SHANNON!!  We love you!

Happy Easter!

How lucky we are to celebrate Easter and what it means each year.  HE really has blessed Shane and I this year with our precious little angels.  Below are  few snap shots from Easter Brunch.  Nana got the girls darling little Easter Dresses and they only spit up on them a few times!  Brooke was not to happy about being dressed up...and Ashlee seemed pleased it matched her casts!  I even managed to get Shane to take a "family" picture!  Enjoy.

Diamonds are a girl's bestfriend...Baseball diamonds! Go Rangers!

This year Opening Day was a bit different.  I typically am at the game with friends...kicking back a few cold drinks and eating some great ballpark franks.  However, with the girls being so young and not in daycare/nanny care yet...we were stuck at home.

Made the best of it though..and tried to teach the girls all the important things in life...like baseball, brats, and beer (when they are old enough!).

Enjoy the photos from our Opening Day watch party!  Ashlee was all smiles....Brooke was more into blowing bubbles...

The BEST part....the Rangers rally in the 9th ending to win the game from behind!!  WHOO...HOOO... GO RANGERS!
