Nana took the girls shopping a few weeks ago for NEW shoes!! Actually...as much as I hate to admit it..it was their first pair of "real" shoes! (They had black ones for Christmas...but those don't count..just for show!) I know..they are a year old and I never bought them shoes...but there are some a few good reasons..or so I think.
- Poor Ashlee had to wear those shoes and brace 24 hrs a day for several months.....so she could not have any other shoes. Now she only wears them at night!
- I mean REALLY...they weren't walking...so did they REALLY need shoes??? I figured they would just get in the way of them crawling and standing.
- Ashlee's feet are tiny and wide. Brooke's feet are long and skinny. Makes it hard to find "matching" shoes.
So..the journey began. First stop Stride Rite..!! Took us 15 minutes tops and we walked out with 2 pairs of new shoes that both Nana and the girls loved!! I loved that they came in wide widths and they could get the same pair.

You are absolutely right. If they aren't walking, they don't need shoes.
